Morgan Stanley Real Estate’s recent tie-up with
Mantri Developers’ is the first real estate
investment in India since the government opened
up Foreign Direct Investment this year. This
agreement has positively established the
confidence that the global funds have in the
Indian realty record. |

Morgan Stanley has bought a minority stake in
Mantri Developers, for $68 million. (Rs. 300
crores) It sees Mantri’s outstanding management
team and its recognized brand name in the
market, as a bright opportunity to capitalize
its investment. Further it believes that it’s a
significant step in positioning Mantri
properties on a global platform. |
